I have a classic training in drawing and painting and these skills serve me well in my chosen medium of digital painting.

I love form and derive great joy in the placement of light and shadow to realize forms. I am also fascinated by color and subtleties of one color transitions into another and the complexity of what at first glance is a single color but is many colors dancing together as one.

I use the digital equivalent of traditional tools, Oil paint, palette knife, pastel etc.

I enjoy working plein air landscapes as well as studio work which generally leans toward the whimsical.

One of the things I respond to in art is the struggle the artist experiences in the creation of the art which is telling in the strokes, over strokes and corrections. I take care to have my process evident in the finished piece.
